"Hornblower, go scrape those plebeians off my prow. They're upsetting my tea."
Alternate title: "I'm gonna sink this bitch!"
And I was finally able to get my mitts on
cleolinda's book Movie in Fifteen Minutes thanks to my cousin who traversed across the pond for the holidays. My family probably thought I was nuts due to the snorts of laughter coming from my direction. I read over half of it in one day.
My mom spent the last several days with my aunts. She doesn't get to a lot of times, so it's all good. I don't feel left out or anything because I know it's something she needs and I'm a bit of a loner anyway. I got to spend some time with them yesterday, so it was nice. We had delicious Chicken Parm too.
I'm typing this up in Word since neither of my LJ clients have spell check and I almost inevitable misspell something. P433r my skillzzz… Fo' shizzle…
Saturday I got all chummy with a couple of the guys that work weekends as well. We basically geeked out about Star Wars and such. The other girl who was there probably thinking we were massive dorks. Oh well. I've grown comfortable with my geekiness.
Work is continuing to go well. I'm scanning my little heart out, which I like doing, except when I get tired and start to nod off a little… Eh-heh…
Last night, our former music minister and his wife held a little gathering at The Melting Pot in order to show appreciation to the worship team, which mom and I are members of. It was really sweet. He read off little paragraphs about us that he wrote and handed out "personality appropriate" candy. I got Lik-m-Aid and Pixy Stix since I'm a child of the 80's. I'm gonna be coasting on a sugar high for weeks!!
*downs another Pixy Stix*

How are you liking your new workspace and colleagues? As much as the old?

Oh yes, very much. I like both places a lot. And now that all I'm doing is scanning and not having to do other things, it's very enjoyable.
