Well, Dennis missed us. I still feel really bad about the people on the Gulf Coast and the Panhandle and those in Alabama. They still hadn't fully recovered from Ivan. And there's another one growing in the Atlantic currently. *sighs*
I did some cleaning the other day (I don't remember if I wrote about this before or not). I moved my 'regular' books from the night table/cabinent next to the TV, to a space on my bookshelf (still not enough room), and put more of my manga in the cabinent. I have more space now, but it'll only be a matter of time before it gets full. Maybe I should sell some of the ones I don't read anymore like my copies of 'Ranma.' Hmmm...
Speaking of manga, I got volume 9 of 'Hot Gimmick' on Friday. It was good, too. The first part is focused on Akane and Subaru and Akane trying to determine if he likes her as much as she likes him. It was pretty cute, actually. Then we get to where Ryoki finds out the truth about his dad and Azusa's mom. I feel really bad for Ryoki, actually since his dad didn't seem to really care about him all that much and well, his mom is a whole separate issue. Hatsumi then tells him she got a cell phone so he can call her directly instead of going through her house and maybe not get ahold of her. I could tell he was really kinda touched by her gesture. Also, they come pretty close to... you know, but they get interupted by her mom. Oops. Then there's a bunch of stuff between Hatsumi and Shinogu that was just... strange. Don't get me wrong, I adore Shinogu, but the whole dynamics of the relationship between him and Hatsumi still strikes me as a bit creepy.
I also bought a new title the other day. I had read a preview of it in Shonen Jump Advanced that came with my copy of HG. It's called I"s (pro. ai-zu). I did wonder slightly why it was featured in Shonen Jump since it involves teenage romance, but after I bought the first volume I realized why. I think it's due to the copious amounts of fan service. Practically everywhere you looked, there were panties. Panties, panties, panties. I had so many panties thrust in my face I thought I was at a Tom Jones concert. A small part of me felt that I might as well be reading porn or something. Of course, girls in panties does nothing for me since I see it everyday. The main thing I was thinking (other than, "Is it really neccesary to have so much blatant fan service?") was "Man, I wish my butt looked like that." I kid you not.
Anyway, I digress. As to whether or not I'll be buying the second volume is really undecided. There was a fairly decent story under that large pile of panties.
I got my haircut Saturday. It looks a lot better. Not so... bleh. I'm also going to go to Wal-Mart later on so I can get some toothpaste, vitamins, and a new frame for my pic that
kawaiiayu did for me. The frame it's in now doesn't work very well.
I also finally got around to updating the new pictures for the Akito moodtheme. It took a bit of time, but I'm glad I finally got around to doing it.
And I downloaded more fonts from DaFont. I wanted some more Calligraphy ones and regular sans serif ones.
And if you can count how many times I said the word "panties" in this entry, you get a prize.
