Shrouded in darkness, I navigate through a labyrinth of boxes...

Man, I feel like I'm livin' in a tomb! We boarded up in preperation for Wilma. Right now I'm posting before the full brunt of what we're supposed to be getting hits us. Also, I need to do more packing. My doctor's appointment I was supposed to have today was cancelled as well.

Which brings exciting news! We have a place to stay until we find one of our own! Yay! And the lady we're staying with likes cats so there's no problem there. I just hope I can at least set up my computer so I can keep in touch with everyone. I mean, two weeks without internet access is pushing it, but two months!! Forget it!

I also hope to get a post office box, at least for my fandom stuff. After Wilma leaves, I plan on going to the Post Office to look into it.

I also cleaned up some stuff from my harddrive and uploaded a few things onto my photobucket account, like the images I snagged from Kaze Hikaru!

I also packed up my manga. I haven't sealed the one box yet in case I want to dip into it and read. The same goes with my one box of DVD's. Today I plan on packing up some of my bathroom stuff and some of my clothes. I have to keep some stuff seperate in order to use them while we're displaced temporarily. I have a feeling we'll need more boxes...

I don't know if I'll be able to catch up with my FL, at least for today. Hopefully I can tomorrow. So in case I don't, I'll 'talk' to you all tomorrow, if we still have power, that is...

Shining Wind

I've totally gotten hooked on another series. It's called 'Kaze Hikaru'. It's kinda like 'Kenshin' for girls except it's focused more on the Shinsengumi. I've been reading it in Shojo Beat, actually. I mean, I pretty much like all of the series in there (except for 'Baby and Me,' which I never read). Now, I hadn't been truly focused on one series over another. I just basically read them, enjoy them and move on. I guess it's due to the latest issue. Why you wonder? I think it's because Sei is beginning to have feelings for Okita (in case you're curious, Sei's really a girl disguised as a boy to avenge her murdered family. Only Okita knows the truth). This has the potential for so much cuteness. So far it's just being serialized, but the first graphic novel is due in January. And you just know I'm gonna snatch it up...

I finished my application for Barnes and Noble. I go today to drop it off. I also plan on picking up more boxes. I filled three of them just by packing a few things in my closet. Today, I'm to pack some of my books. I need to get it done before the effects of Wilma come charging toward us.

Speaking of which, it may not hit us directly, but I think we'll definitely be feeling the effects of it. We've been very lucky this year in regards to hurricanes (unlike, say, last year). We have the plywood, but I doubt we'll be putting it up unless it drastically changes course. So I don't know if we'll have power or not. Our power lines can be a bit touchy.
