This week has been a good one for me, fandom-wise. We are getting into the season finales of various episodes, and for many, it naturally means CLIFFHANGER!!! If done well, these can be a nice way to wrap up the season (or series sometimes). If not done well, it can lead to frustrations (Castle, I’m looking at YOU).

I thought the BBT one was done very well, with Leonard and Penny getting engaged. It’s nice to see a progression of that relationship, especially since it’s one I ship. I was frustrated with the Castle one, since it left on a cliffhanger with Castle being driven off of the road en route to his wedding to Kate. I was like, “COME ON!!! Really?!?! You couldn’t just have them get married, could you!!?” Hopefully, the next season won’t drag things out even further since I want these two to have their happily ever after.

Grimm was an interesting one since I was happy that Monroe and Rosalee got married in a cute and sweet ceremony. I was less pleased with the machinations of Adalind and what she did to Nick. I hope this doesn’t drive a wedge between him and Juliette, especially since she is in on his secret of being a Grimm and had come to terms with it, in a way. Trubel is growing on me quite a bit and I hope we see more of her next season as a “Grimm-in-training.”

I was worried about Criminal Minds for a bit since my bb Reid was injured and there was this hype of a team member not coming back, but he was fine and it was Alex that decided she’d had enough and quit the squad. So no deaths there, which is refreshing.

I liked how Elementary wrapped things up with the storyline with Mycroft and Joan. I know the show was trying to get them together, but it didn’t seem like a compatible fit. I do think she needs a life aside from the Holmes’ boys though and since she’s looking into getting her own apartment, it looks as though it may happen. Although, I do wonder how long it will last since even in the novels, Watson still managed to move back in with Holmes after a time.

NCIS Los Angeles had a bit of an awkward moment with Kensi and Deeks (my main ship on that show. My secondary one is Nell and Eric). Mostly due to the reintroduction of the hot DEA officer that Deeks worked with while Kensi was on assignment. I hope they don’t do a whole triangle thing, because I like my Densi ship, thankyouverymuch.

But the pinnacle, the absolute cherry on the top, was The Mentalist. I don’t know how many on here watch the show ([personal profile] coastal_spirit I know you do), but the two main characters have had this undeniable chemistry going on for years now. There have been some understandable blockades though, like the fact that Jane (the male lead, Jane is his surname) spent the majority of the series trying to avenge the murder of his wife and daughter and therefore any kind of romance was basically off the table. In addition to being extremely emotionally wounded due to said deaths of wife and daughter. Lisbon (the female lead) had her own issues to work through due to her crappy childhood and her job with first the CBI then the FBI.

Since the resolution of the Red John case (the name of the serial killer who murdered the aforementioned Jane ladies), there have been a lot of signs and signals that perhaps the two of them may sort through their feelings for each other after all. Hell, I’ll just let these two YouTube clips speak for themselves:

Eight years (in-universe) in the making, folks! There will be a Season Seven and I’m excited to see what will happen next!

And a webcomic that I follow that is created by two friends of mine, two of the characters that I ship on there will be reunited very soon and I’m pretty giddy about that as well.

I’m such a romantic sap…
