Attack of the Vampire

I had to go and get my bloodwork done today. It wasn't too bad. Actually it hurt more when the needle came out than when it went in. So now I sport a nice pink bandage around my left elbow. I'll take it off shortly.

I hope to actually work some more on my Jiro story today. Yes, I know I keep saying that, but I've been distracted by unpacking as always. Yesterday I was distracted by something different, though. I was distracted by 'Saiyuki.' But what a distraction...

Today I have laundry to do, dishes to wash and more stuffed animals to vacuum. Tonight is when the real work begins. We have to unload the rest of the POD so it can be picked up tomorrow. Yesterday was an interesting situation. We unloaded the old washing machine and put it by the dumpster. Then we loaded a few things on a truck we borrowed and went to the storage place to get the bookcase and the old desk of mine. One of the gliding rocking chairs and the desk was going to go to the youth center at our church so they can be sold at their garage sale at the end of June. Being that it was just the two of us, it proved to be quite the adventure. At one point mom got frustrated when the bottom of the bookcase broke, so the threw it on the ground. Yeah, she can be a bit temperamental at times... So we ended up throwing it away. It was a bit sad, really since her uncle had made it for her. My thinking is it was just as well since we didn't really have the room for it.

That's pretty much it for today. I hope everyone has a nice weekend and a good holiday.

Trivia of the day: Dachshunds are the smallest breed of dog used for hunting. They are low to the ground, which allows them to enter and maneuver through tunnels easily.

Naw, it's for my Crohn's check-up. The medicine I'm on has has effects on the liver, so that's what the tests are for.

But I'm feeling good. I like it that you're worried about me though...

Thanks! And yeah, I was able to come up with something, so I'm happy. I'm almost finished with it though. I already posted the part I wrote, so I hope people like it.

Someone on my flist just annouced triumphantly on her LJ today that she "doesn't have cancer!" So I think that jarred me a bit, that I had no idea she was worried about cancer. So I think I'm a little sensitive today. ;) GLad it's just routine and that you feel good. :)
