I think I have to take my MacBook into the Apple place (not an actual Apple store, but a place that sells and repairs Apple products) and see why it’s not connecting to the internet when everything else (including BOTH of my PC’s) are.

It started when I tried to upgrade my Firefox to the newest version. I found it wasn’t compatible to the OS system I have on my Mac (which is still Tiger). I was a wee bit cheesed at this, but since there is nothing I can do, I removed Firefox from my computer. However, when I tried to open Safari, it kept stalling. Then I tried to open my iTunes store, and I got nothing.

After checking my internet connection and finding out it works perfectly fine, I tried reopening Safari. Bubkes. So I have no idea what I might’ve done wrong to cause this little snafu, but it’s frustrating. I can’t update my iPod without being able to update my podcasts and such, which I get via the internet and the internet is being pissy about it.

I need to defrag my MacBook, but I can’t download the program I need to do it, because I have an outdated OS. As much as I would like to upgrade to Leopard (and now there’s gonna be Lion coming soon. Fabulous), I can’t because I don’t have the money to buy the upgrade. I don’t see why Apple can’t have programs for people to use who have older OS. I know they want people to upgrade, but they have to be realistic and realize not everyone can.

Plus, I need to take it in so I can have someone look at my battery. It works fine, but it’s warped for some reason and I want to find out why.

I was gonna try to move all of my music from iTunes over to my PC, but I kinda don’t wanna do that because then I’d have to reformat my iPod and I would lose some of the stuff I have on there, like some of my older podcasts.

Sometimes, I just hate computers…

comments
